As some of you may know on Friday June 28, 2024 the HABS in the 1st round with their 2nd pick, and was the 21st overall player selected in the NHL entry draft selected, Michael Hage

Earlier on Friday June 28th the HABS made a trade with the LA Kings trading their 28th, 56th and 198th overall picks for LA Kings 21st. Before saying who got the better of that trade as Hague is going back to USHL’s Chicago Steel, University of Michigan next season The players the Kings drafted also probably won’t be NHL ready for several seasons. We will have to trust GM Kent Hughes on this trade and selecting Hague.

Hage was born April 14, 2006 in Oakville, Ontario, Canada. He is 6’0″183cm and weighs 190 lbs86kg. With his age he still may grow, I wouldn’t mind another 10 pounds of muscle. He is a right shot center.

Hage was born to parents Alain and Rania Hage. Hage’s father died unexpectedly in a swimming pool accident in July 2023. He dedicated the 2023–24 season to his father.

In the 2021-22 season in the OHL Cup he played in 7 games and had 7 goals and 9 assists for 16 points and was a +12 and had 4 penalty minutes.

In the 2022-23 season Hage played for the USHL’s Chicago Steel, University of Michigan he played in 13 games scored 5 goals and had 5 assists for a total of 10 points, he was a -1 and had 10 minutes of penalties. That was the only time he was a minus player

In the 2023-24 season Hage played for USHL’s Chicago Steel, University of Michigan played in 54 games scored scored 33 goals and had 42 assists for a total 75 points and was a +17 and had 53 penalty minutes.

In both years when Hage was at USHL’s Chicago Steel, University of Michigan the team was in the playoffs.

In closing I would like to wish Hage the best of luck in his education and his hockey career, love to see you as a HAB in a few years, when you finish your development,

Souces
